Nervo About To Take The US By Storm

Posted on: April 15, 2011

If you haven’t heard of The Nervo Twins before you will be hearing a lot more of them soon. Chances are you have heard plenty of their songs, not even knowing it was them!

The Nervo Twins, Mim and Liv, started out as fashion models in Australia and by the age of 16 decided to begin pursuing music. They were accepted into the Opera Australia academy, but decided to pursue a more pop music focused career instead. At the age of 18 they signed to SONY/ATV Music Publishing and embarked on a successful songwriting career. Since then these sisters have written songs for Ke$ha, Ashley Tisdale, and The Pussycat Dolls. The song that has gained the most recognition has to be “When Love Takes Over”, which they co-wrote for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland, and went onto win a Grammy.

In March 2010 they announced a worldwide recording deal with Virgin Records/EMI Music and a month later released “This Kind of Love” through their independent UK-based dance label, Loaded Records. It went number one on the world club charts, number two on the music week club charts, and number six on the music week pop charts.

Nervo is set to open for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour and I cannot wait! I think its great to bring something new into the mix. We’re not used to seeing DJs (let alone two FEMALE DJs) being included on a huge pop tour. This tour is sure to expose not only Nervo to new audiences, but it will definitely expose this genre of Electric Trance House music to a wider audience. I think their song “Irresistible”, featuring Ollie James, will be a huge hit! With its catchy, banging dance beat it can’t fail with Britney’s fans.

Will you be catching Nervo on tour with Britney Spears???
