David Guetta Wins Again!

Posted on: April 6, 2011

A few weeks ago I came across a new David Guetta song that was leaked on the Internet. It was featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj, called “Where Dem Girls At?” I searched EVERYWHERE to find the real version of this song, as the only version that was out at the moment was a live version from one of his shows. Well finally this morning as many of you might already know, the finished version has leaked  onto the Internet and it’s great! I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Grammy Award winning DJ.

This song is the perfect song to dance to at a club and even to jam out to in your car. It has a beat that makes you just want to get up and dance. The track doesn’t bring anything new to the world of Dance music as far as the booming back beat and a bass line that is exemplary of true Dance music. The only new thing being brought to the table on this one is Nicki Minaj.

Nicki is breaking the mold of the norm for female Hip-Hop artists. Usually you’ll find female singers on David Guetta’s tracks, but with this one he brings on a female rapper who also sings. I think Nicki definitely steals the show on this one. Not only does she take this dance track to a new level; it also takes hip-hop to a new level, by combining the two genres so well. This only showcases what Nicki can do- rap, sing…what’s next? Nicki, what happened to no more collaborations??? It’s okay, I think we all agree- we’re glad you signed onto this one!

“Where Dem Girls At?” will be featured on David Guetta’s upcoming album, which will be released at the end of August. Check out the song below. What do you think?
